MIT OCW on PERN

The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has placed a mirror site of Massachusetts institute of technology Open Course Ware (MIT OCW) on Education intranet on (PERN). MIT OCW would be available with its resources free of cost on http://web.hec.gov.pk.The initiatives will be useful for researchers/students/faculty members of our university to get benefits from these valuable course materials, which are now mirrored locally at PERN intranet. This would enable fast access/downloads of MIT OCW stuff.

Since its launch in 1997, ScienceDirect has evolved from a web database of Elsevier journals to one of the world's largest providers of scientific, technical and medical (STM) literature.

ACM Digital Library

The ACM Digital Library contains over 1,385,000 full-text articles, including the full text from 28 ACM Journals and Transactions, 10 ACM Magazines, over 40 ACM Special Interest Newsletters, and over 100 annual conference proceedings (the proceedings archive currently has over 1800 volumes). In addition users gain access to full text content from 15 non-ACM journals and publications, with all ACM content going back to the first volume and issues of all ACM publications.

Palgrave Macmillan Journals (new)

Palgrave Macmillan is a global academic publisher, serving learning and scholarship in higher education and the professional world. American Mathematical Society (new)

MathSciNet, a comprehensive database maintained by the American Mathematical Society, covering international mathematical literature since 1940. Additional features include singed reviews, powerful search functionality, and timely updates.

They can be searched individually, in selected groups or altogether. Over 10,400 journals are available as full text with over 4,000 of these being fully peer-reviewed.

One of the leading publishers of bibliographic databases, books, and CD-ROMs in applied life sciences. It also provides information solutions to support sustainable development. CABI Publishing's main output is bibliographic databases, which cover over 90 years of research into the applied life sciences. 18 full text journals are also available.

Over 500 fully peer reviewed journals are available with back files starting from different dates.

African Journals Online (AJOL)

AJOL offers the tables of content and abstracts from over 170 journals in sciences, social sciences, arts, culture and literature from 2000 to onward. Free print copies of articles are available by airmail.

Oxford University Press

OUP is widely recognized as one of the world's premier journal publishers. It provides access to over 154 full text journals in science, technology, medicine, humanities and social sciences from year 2000 to date.

Mary Ann Liebert Publisher

MAL is universally acknowledged for the establishment of new authoritative publications in the most exciting and promising areas of biomedical research, clinical medicine, surgery, law, and science. It has over 12,000 papers from 55 leading journals many going back to 2000's.

Bentham Science Publisher

In chemistry and allied subjects 41 full text titles are available, many going back to 2000.

Statistics Division (United Nation Common Database)
UNCDB provides selected series from 30 specialized international data sources for all countries and areas.

Mathematical Journals: The Electronic Library of Mathematics

The Electronic Library of Mathematics contains online journals, article collections, monographs, and other electronic resources in the field of mathematics. All material is in electronic form and access is generally free, except for some periodicals with a "moving wall", i.e., a certain delay period after which resources become freely available. The Electronic Library of Mathematics is supervised by the Electronic Publishing Committee of the European Mathematical Society (EPC-EMS).
