We are proud to offer a wide range of academic programs, including BSc (Hons) in Food Safety and Quality Management, MSc in Food Safety and Quality Management, and PhD in Food Safety and Quality Management.These programs are designed to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and practical experience necessary to succeed in the field of food safety and quality management.Our faculty members are experts in the field, and we are committed to providing our students with the best possible education and training. We also offer several short courses, training programs, and postgraduate diplomas on a regular basis to help professionals update their knowledge and skills in the rapidly evolving field of food safety and quality management.At the Department of Food Safety and Quality Management, we are dedicated to ensuring that the food we consume is safe, nutritious, and of the highest quality. Vision


The vision of the Department of Food Safety and Quality Management is to be recognized as leading global center of excellence in food safety and quality management education, research and outreach. We strive to produce graduates who are equipped with the knowledge, skills and ethical values to ensure the safety and quality of the food supply. Through innovative research, we aim to address current and emerging challenges in food safety and quality and to contribute to the development of science-based policies and practices. We are committed to engaging with stakeholders in the food industry, government, and civil society to promote food safety and quality as fundamental human rights.


Mission


The aim of the Department of Food Safety and Quality Management is to make sure that every citizen of Pakistan is provided with safe and nutritious food so that he/she may grow or maintain the life without suffering from food-borne diseases. In order to achieve the mentioned aim following is the planned road map.

• Advance the science and practice of food safety and quality management.

• Educate future leaders who will safeguard the health and well-being of consumers.

• Gain scientific and technical knowledge to solve the problem in the food industries about different food safety issues.

• Create and develop new methods to prevent contamination of food products, to decontaminate different food commodities and to minimize all the chances of food-borne illnesses and to provide hands on training for the students to become a potential food safety/quality assurance officer.

• Promote evidence-based policies and practices that protect public health
